I am a 26-year-old hailing from a tiny city in Spain called Comillas in Cantabria. Comillas is located in Northern Spain and incidentally, was the capital of Spain for a day. Yes, you read it right, for a day. This city with its beaches and warm people is the place I call home.
I’d love to talk about how I quit my job, packed my bags, and started travelling the world, but sadly that’s not true. I am one of those very few people who love their jobs. The reality is that I have a full-time job as a creative director, but there’s more to my life than just that. On my days off, I like to pack my bags and head on an adventure to discover new places and meet new people.
I have travelled to a lot of places and throughout my journey, I have read hundreds of travel blogs but always felt frustrated cause I could never find the information I wanted. Believe me, it can be frustrating when you’re traveling solo. From the airfare purchase to planning your budget, a lot of things can go wrong. I’ve been travelling for nearly 5 years now and developed a ton of ideas and hacks to make the process a lot smoother. That I why I started the blog. The main intention of the blog is to create content for people who are anxious about travelling and looking for information that could help them.
Coming up with a name for a blog is no small feat. The name needed to represent everything I wanted to convey to the reader. I spent weeks trying to come up with a name and got the whole family involved with it. It felt like I was naming my kid and not my blog. But finally, after narrowing it down to 10, I decided to name it Lapeira. Lapeira is the city where my grandmother lives and where I spent the majority of my childhood in. The word peira also means to attempt or experience. I wanted all my content uploaded here to provide the readers with a new experience and this name was a perfect fit.
I plan to post a good amount of original content on here. You can already find some on my blog(click here!) but I have more on the way. I would like to connect with you and discuss the contents you would like me to post.
